Overview of Ideal Protein Protocol

Behind the weight loss method: the body has 3 sources of energy from which it draws to meet its metabolic needs: carbs, muscle, & fat.  The body 1st draws on the carbs before turning to muscle & fat.

During Ideal Protein phase 1 protocol, you carbohydrate intake is limited to encourage your body to turn to its fat & muscle reserve for energy.

By eating high biological protein foods you are helping support muscle mass. You are also learning how to eat smarter to maintain a stable weight after the weight loss has been achieved.

The program isn't just for weight loss, the program claims to help the health risks of Obesity, Hypertension, High Blood Pressure, Type 2 Diabetes, Gallbladder disease. Sleep Apnea, Stroke, & Ostoearthritis.

The Program:

Phase 1: 3 IP packets a day, + vegetables, + unlimited lettuce, + dinner meal of your choice (8 oz lean protein &  4 cups vegetables-daily)
 + vitamins*, + 1-2 tsp olive or grape seed extract oil

 To be followed until weight loss goal is achieved

 * will list all the vitamins required further below

Phase 2:  2 IP packets a day, + vegetables, + unlimited lettuce, + lunch meal of choice, + dinner meal of choice

To be followed for 2 weeks

Phase 3: 14 day reintegration of healthy carbs & fats in the AM only, lunch & dinner remain the same

Phase 4:  Eat in conjunction with the new techniques learned along the way. Allowed 1 cheat day a week. ( Note: I will provide more information once I am in that phase)
